Quick Verdict

Limitless is the high-frequency corner of the prediction-market landscape: hourly and daily price questions on crypto and stocks, resolved automatically by an external oracle, with genuinely free maker orders and independently tracked volume that peaked at $1.66B in April 2026. The 3.1/5 score is capped by regulation — no license today, a Panamanian operator, and Terms of Service that exclude the United States from trading outright. Its pending CFTC DCM application is the most credible regulatory intent among offshore venues we cover; if granted, this score changes materially. Until then: non-US, DeFi-native traders only, and mind the 3% taker fee at mid probabilities.

Strengths

  • Real, independently tracked traction: monthly volume grew from $5.7M (Aug 2025) to a record $1.66B (April 2026) per DeFiRate's series
  • CFTC DCM application filed May 2026 — the only offshore venue we cover actively seeking a US license
  • Makers trade completely fee-free with rebates; liquidity provision is genuinely cheap

Weaknesses

  • No license today, and the Terms of Service exclude the United States from trading outright — not available to US investors
  • Taker buy fees reach 3.00% at mid probabilities — the highest headline rate among platforms we review (Kalshi peaks near 1.75%)
  • Sports, politics, and other custom events are resolved manually by the team in 24–72 hours — no independent resolution process

What Is Limitless?

Limitless is a prediction market on Base (Ethereum L2) built around speed: instead of leading with elections or macro questions, its flagship products are recurring hourly, daily, and weekly binary markets on crypto and stock prices — "SOL up or down this hour," "will the Hang Seng close above X today" — plus custom event markets and user-generated markets. Shares trade between $0 and $1 on a central limit order book (with AMM markets alongside), and winning shares redeem at exactly $1.00 USDC.

Its distinguishing regulatory fact cuts both ways: it is unlicensed today — operated by Street Chow Inc., a Panamanian company — but per industry reporting it filed a CFTC Designated Contract Market application in May 2026, making it the only offshore venue we cover that is actively seeking the same US license class Kalshi and Polymarket US hold.

The Product, Verified (Checked July 30, 2026)

The following comes from Limitless's own documentation and live app, not press coverage:

  • Instrument. Binary Yes/No shares; one Yes plus one No share is always redeemable for one USDC collateral token before resolution, and winning shares redeem at $1.00 after — with no trading fee on redemption. Categorical (negrisk) market groups are supported.
  • Fee design that rewards makers. Resting limit orders pay nothing; takers pay a price-dependent curve (buys 3.00% at ≤50¢ falling to ~1.26% at 75¢; sells 0.42–1.50%; AMM markets a flat 0.40%). The docs frame it plainly: provide liquidity and you trade completely fee-free.
  • Resolution. The majority of markets — crypto and stock prices — resolve automatically at deadline against Pyth Network oracle data; custom event markets are resolved manually by the team, typically in 24–72 hours.
  • Developer surface. Full API plus Go/Python SDKs, delegated orders, a trading-agent guide — and, tellingly, a "migrate from Polymarket" guide for market makers.

Traction: Independently Tracked, Then a Data Gap

Limitless is one of the few crypto-native venues with an independent volume series. DeFiRate's monthly tracking shows $5.7M in August 2025, $109.4M in September, steady months around $100–130M through December, then acceleration: $204.9M in January 2026, $372.8M in February, $538.5M in March, and a record $1.66B in April 2026 — roughly triple March, and the month its CFTC application reportedly followed. The platform itself states $1B+ cumulative volume traded. The honest caveat: no independently tracked figures were available after early May 2026 when we checked, so whether April's level held is unverified — we flag it rather than guess.

Regulatory Status: A Gray Zone, Resolved Conservatively

The Terms of Service (updated June 19, 2026) name Street Chow Inc., Panama, as operator and contain no explicit US exclusion — eligibility requires only legal age, non-sanctioned status, and that your use be lawful where you are. That "you figure it out" posture is common offshore and materially worse for readers than a clean geo-block: it leaves US users to make a legal determination the platform will not make for them. Our resolution is conservative: we treat Limitless as not available to US investors, full stop, until the DCM application resolves. If that license is granted, Limitless becomes one of the most interesting stories in this category — a high-frequency prediction market inside the regulated perimeter — and this review will be rescored.

For European readers: ESMA confirmed in July 2026 that the EU's retail binary-options restrictions apply to event contracts qualifying as financial instruments — which is how EU regulators are likely to view exactly the crypto- and stock-price binaries Limitless leads with. Nothing here is investment advice.

Who Limitless Is For

Appropriate for:

  • Non-US, DeFi-native traders who want fast recurring price markets rather than long-dated events
  • Limit-order traders and market makers — the zero-maker-fee design is genuinely favorable
  • Builders — the API/SDK surface is among the best in the category

NOT appropriate for:

  • US investors — unlicensed venue; we treat the ToS gray zone as an exclusion
  • Anyone wanting deep event coverage — elections and macro depth live elsewhere
  • Market-order traders at mid probabilities — the 3.00% taker buy fee is the category's highest
  • Tax-simplicity seekers — no reporting anywhere

Limitless FAQ

Is Limitless regulated?
Not today. Limitless is operated by Street Chow Inc., a Panamanian company, with no license in any jurisdiction. What sets it apart from other offshore venues is direction of travel: industry reporting says it filed a CFTC Designated Contract Market application in May 2026 — the same license class Kalshi and Polymarket US hold. Until that application is granted, it is an unregulated offshore platform, and we treat it as not available to US investors.
Can US users trade on Limitless?
No, and the Terms of Service say so directly: "The Platform is not available for trading to users from the following jurisdictions: United States of America, Republic of China, and the Canadian provinces of Ontario (ON) and Alberta (AB)." That is an explicit exclusion, not a gray area — an earlier version of this review described the terms as containing no US exclusion, which was wrong and is corrected here (verified 2026-07-31). A separate US entity, Limitless Markets US, LLC, has a CFTC DCM application on file, which is the route by which US access could eventually open. Until then: not available to US investors. We do not cover ways to trade on venues from jurisdictions their own terms exclude.
What do Limitless fees actually cost?
Depends entirely on how you trade. Makers pay nothing — a resting limit order that gets filled costs zero, and Limitless advertises exactly that. Takers pay a price-dependent fee: buys cost 3.00% at prices up to 50¢, declining as the price rises (about 1.26% at 75¢); sells run 0.42–1.50%; AMM markets charge a flat 0.40%. That 3.00% mid-probability buy fee is the highest headline rate among platforms we review — but a patient trader using limit orders avoids it entirely.
How are Limitless markets resolved?
Two paths. The majority — crypto and stock price markets — resolve automatically at the deadline against Pyth Network oracle data, with no human in the loop. Custom event markets (sports, politics) are resolved manually by the Limitless team, typically within 24–72 hours. Automatic external-oracle resolution for price markets is a genuine strength; manual team resolution for events is a trust assumption without an independent dispute process.
How big is Limitless really?
Bigger than most people assume, per independent tracking. DeFiRate's monthly series shows growth from $5.7M (August 2025) through $204.9M (January 2026) and $538.5M (March) to a record $1.66B in April 2026 — the month that reportedly triggered its CFTC application. The platform itself claims $1B+ cumulative volume. Caveat we flag: no independently tracked figures were available after early May 2026 at the time of this review.
Does Limitless have a token or referral program?
No cash referral or affiliate program is documented — its docs contain no referral page at all (checked at review time). Third-party coverage describes a points-based referral mechanic, which we could not verify against primary sources. Liquidity providers do have documented LP rewards and maker rebates. No token has been announced in any source we verified.
