Cookie Policy

PredictorHQ uses a minimal number of cookies and similar technologies. This page lists each one, what it does, and whether it requires consent. For the broader picture on how we process personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
Your consent
Nothing non-essential loads before you choose. Until you click Accept in the cookie banner, PredictorHQ makes no request to Google Analytics or any other analytics or tracking service and sets no analytics cookie — for every visitor, in every region. Only after you accept do we load Google Analytics 4, which then sets the cookies below. If you click Reject, nothing is loaded, on that page or on later visits. Ignoring the banner counts as no consent. Accept and Reject are offered side by side, with the same design, one click each. We run no advertising, so Google's advertising signals stay denied even after you accept.
Changing or withdrawing your consent: use the Cookie settings button at the bottom
of every page. It re-opens the banner so you can switch between Accept and Reject at any time. Withdrawing stops Google
Analytics and deletes its _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies. Your choice, whether
Accept or Reject, is stored the same way and kept for the same period (see
phq-consent below).
Cookies we set
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (first-party) |
Distinguishes users (pseudonymous ID) so we can measure page views, sessions and events, including the
affiliate_click event.
| 2 years (Google's default; browsers such as Chrome cap it at 400 days) | Yes — set only after you click Accept. |
_ga_<container-id> (here _ga_0K1QGR35CL) | Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (first-party) | Persists session state. | 2 years (Google's default; browsers such as Chrome cap it at 400 days) | Yes — set only after you click Accept. |
phq-consent (localStorage) | Essential | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so the banner is not shown again. | Until you change it via Cookie settings or clear your browser data — the same for both choices | No consent required (strictly necessary). |
| Session preferences | Essential | Language and display preferences (e.g. EN/ES locale). | Session | No consent required (strictly necessary). |
Browser storage (not cookies)
We may use sessionStorage or localStorage to cache lightweight UI state (e.g. dismissal
of a promotional banner within a session, a cached region code to avoid repeated network calls). This data never leaves
your browser.
Affiliate / attribution parameters
When you click an affiliate link (marked with rel="sponsored nofollow"), the destination URL may
include UTM parameters, a referral ID, or similar query strings so our partner can attribute the referral to
PredictorHQ. These parameters travel with the click — we do not store a cookie on your device to track it.
Affiliate partners include Kalshi, Polymarket, PredictIt, Robinhood, and Opinion Trade.
Cookies set by linked platforms
Once you click an affiliate link and land on a partner site, that partner (Kalshi, Polymarket, PredictIt, Robinhood, Opinion Trade, or another third party) may set its own cookies on your device. PredictorHQ has no control over those cookies. Consult each platform's own cookie policy.
